The PositionJoin this high-performing team and report to the Head of People – Network Assets and Assurance. This position leads a team of Talent Acquisition professionals by designing and delivering efficient and effective end-to-end recruitment solutions. This team focuses on specialist and technical functions to support the delivery of MTM’s current and future projects. It plays a critical role in enterprise-wide initiatives by working closely with other Talent Acquisition teams in other divisions, supported by our Talent Acquisition People Experience team.The Network Assets & Assurance (NA&A) team at Metro Trains Melbourne includes more than 2000 people from Infrastructure, Engineering, Rolling Stock, Technology, Strategic Asset Management and, Integration and Development.Key accountabilities in the role include:

  • Lead a team of Talent Acquisition professionals to deliver end-to-end recruitment in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Design and implement divisional sourcing strategies, using best-in-class attraction techniques and building internal capability by working with relevant stakeholders and striving for the best business outcomes for the division
  • Lead domestic and international recruitment campaigns following processes already set at an Enterprise perspective
  • Manage and coordinate your own portfolio of stakeholders performing their full end to end recruitment requirements
  • Provide consultative strategic advice to Senior leaders and Head of People, People Business Partnering team and other stakeholders to ensure successful execution of recruiting strategies aimed at achieving required hiring needs across the business
  • Develop and maintain the functional strategic and annual business plan and lead a function to achieve these
  • Advocate and demonstrate Metro’s values of Zero Harm, Caring, One Team, Dependable, Make a Difference, and build a culture of integrity and professionalism that enables business agility, collaboration and inclusion.
  • Create enhanced reporting insights and data on Talent Acquisition activities to enable the division to make data-driven decisions
  • Be proactive working in an environment that often requires agility and pivot thinking in a changing environment
  • Be available to coordinate support across internal and external recruitment activities to support business direction and needs

About You

  • Extensive recruitment experience in Technology, Rail, or heavy industry recruitment – specialised in EA and salary employees
  • Experience leading teams and driving positive change within a complex environment
  • Knowledge of recruitment function with proven capacity to work within applicable legislation, policy, and guidelines
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Human Resources or another relevant discipline
