This role will be based on business need and relocation may be required.As an Engineer-in-Training at Cenovus, possible rotations could include:Facility DesignDevelopment and Field Facility EngineeringDrilling, Completions & Well ServicingIntegrity Engineering/Technical ServicesMaintenance & ReliabilityOperations ProcessProcess and Technical SafetyProcess Controls & DesignProduction, Project, and Reservoir EngineeringNote: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MST, April 1, 2024.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will be dependent on business unit and specific role of your rotation.Qualifications/EducationOur ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:Legally entitled to work in CanadaAvailable to begin work June 2024Must have an undergraduate or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering acquired by May 31, 2024 and completed within the last 2 years (2022, 2023 or 2024).During the three-year program you will be expected and must be willing to relocate to any of Cenovus’s operating sites for your rotations and/or your end-of-program placement. Note that your initial location will be considered your “home location” and will likely be where you will be based upon program completion.Depending on your specific EIT rotation, your role may be considered safety sensitive. If it is safety sensitive there will be additional considerations regarding driving and drug/alcohol as outlined below.Safety Sensitive Considerations:Some of the EIT rotations are deemed safety sensitive positions. Those positions will require you to hold a Class 5 drivers’ license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. If selected to work in one of these locations, a Driver’s abstract will be requested prior to the commencement of that position.
