You can read more about our impact here.JOB SUMMARYThe Associate Director/Director of Global Human Resources will be responsible for developing, administering, and communicating all human resources initiatives across OneSky, and provide HR guidance to our country/region teams in US, Vietnam, Mongolia and HK including future expanded countries. S/he will be a trusted advisor to the leadership team, relied on for advice about HR best practices, labor regulations, and the talent market to create and implement HR strategies, systems, policies, and procedures that align with OneSky’s overall strategies, objectives, programs, mission and values. S/he will be based in OneSky’s Hong Kong office and report to the Chief Administrative Office (CAO).Reports to: Chief Administrative OfficerLocation: Hong KongKEY RESPONSIBILITIES● Develop and execute the global HR strategy, aligning with business objectives and driving cultural alignment across regions● Oversee the implementation and standardization of HR policies, processes, and programs globally● Provide strategic guidance to regional HR teams, ensuring consistent HR practices and compliance across multiple countries and regions● Collaborate with senior management to align HR initiatives with business goals, foster employee engagement, and drive talent management strategies● Lead and support organizational development and change management initiatives globally● Drive the development and implementation of global HR programs, such as performance management, succession planning, and employee development to address performance gap in a proactive manner● Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and employment practices across various jurisdictions● Develop and monitor key HR metrics to assess HR effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements● Lead global HR projects, such as HR system implementations, HR process harmonization, and global talent acquisition strategies● Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including dispute resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations● Manage and oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance globally● Collaborate with regional HR teams to support employee engagement initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, and employee wellness initiatives● Stay informed about industry best practices, employment trends, and emerging HR technologies● Manage relationships with external vendors, such as Employer On Record and service providers, to ensure effective HR service delivery.● Stay updated with changes in global HR regulations and labor laws, ensuring compliance and mitigating HR-related risks.● Create and update HR documents, policies, and procedures, e.g. staff handbooks, staff contracts, performance appraisals, internal disciplinary procedures, staff communications and organizational charts● Provide guidance, manage and resolve employee relation matters, including complex and sensitive issues, dispute resolution, disciplinary actions, terminations and governance issues● Manage HR recruitment budget including update compensation benchmark to ensure we stay competitive and attract/retain talents● Prepare regular HR reports and status updates to board, internal staff and external stakeholders● Process application and renewal of work visas for employees, management, and executive teams● Undertake any additional duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature of this roleJOB QUALIFICATIONS● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred; a Master degree or equivalent experience in HR, BA or Labour Relations is preferred● At least 10 years of professional experience in global operations and HR management at a corporation; nonprofit organization, or government agency is preferred● In-depth knowledge of global HR practices, labour laws, risk issues regulations, and compliance requirements● Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and programs across different jurisdictions● Experience working in diverse cultural environments, managing cross-cultural teams, and fostering global collaboration● Good knowledge of strategic HR management, workforce planning, organizational development, talent requisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, employee development, change management and HR technology● Strong ability to follow-through, set priorities and multi-task while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines● Strong consultative and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence others● Able to think big, with the ability to staying organized and detail oriented● Excellent work ethic, organizational and time management skills● General analytical, research, and critical thinking skills● Outstanding communications skills. Good command of both written and verbal in English and Cantonese● Experience or interest in working in a nonprofit “start-up” environment● High Integrity, with the ability to build and maintain trustSalary and benefits:Salary commensurate with experience.
