The Research and Innovation Portfolio supports researchers and graduate researchers with research partnerships, grants and research contracts, funding opportunities, capability development, research training, ethics and integrity, intellectual property, commercialization, internships, communication and profile.Position SummaryThe Coordinator, Research Publicity & Reporting is responsible for promoting research impact at RMIT Vietnam, through the provision of efficient and effective support in research promotional materials and reporting on research outputs to senior leaders.Key responsibilities include driving research publicity, writing and developing reports and documents; and in general, provide overall coordination, administration and delivery of various research related services at RMIT Vietnam. This includes planning and creating research-related content that aligns with objectives and strategic plans for both internal and external audiences, and coordinating Office for Research & Innovation publicity presence. In addition, the Coordinator will be responsible for collating Quarterly, Annual and ad hoc reports on research at RMIT Vietnam.This role will liaise with RMIT Vietnam Schools, Researchers, Communications team, Marketing team; RMIT Melbourne Data analytics and other service departments across RMIT Vietnam and Australia to ensure smooth operations and coordination of research publicity and reporting at RMIT VN. The coordinator is to provide support services regarding research publicity and reporting, and become knowledgeable on processes to all staff and researchers.Reporting LineReports to: Assistant Manager – Research Engagement & PublicityPartners with RMIT Vietnam Schools, Academics, Communications, Marketing; RMIT Melbourne Data analytics and other service departments across RMIT University.Key AccountabilitiesIdentify and design research promotional material – create content, and coordinate content production, to articulate research impact stories to help showcase impactful research at RMIT Vietnam.Reporting – create, design and monitor ORI’s data and story presence on print, digital documents (eg: Research booklet) and online media (eg: LinkedIn, FB and website); regular reports (eg: quarterly; annual and ad-hoc reports)Digital assets – Responsible for high quality photos and videos of ORI’s activities to support stories. Photography skill is appreciated.Handle the Research publicity, reporting and research related enquiries from internal stakeholdersManage the administration of any submission for the Industry Seed Fund.Organize seminars, forums, and workshops as necessary to promote research @ RMIT VietnamExcellent organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and the flexibility to re-adjust workload priorities to meet competing deadlines.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement projects.Perform other duties as directed within the scope of research services, as and when the need arises.Be a positive change influencer and advocate for service excellence and continuous improvement across Office for Research & Innovation.Key Selection CriteriaBachelor degree or above and significant administrative experience in a complex environment including the ability to prioritize effectively while completing tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Year of experience of relevant fields: 1-2 years.Good understanding of writing for media. Clear and effective verbal and written skills (English and Vietnamese) for the purpose of obtaining and conveying information to media, senior management, internal and external stakeholders, team members as well as producing reportsKnowledge of IT and Multi-media related applications preferredKnowledge of research services, communications or reporting preferredHighly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to confidently handle a range of situations with people from a diverse range of academic and business backgrounds.Experience in the interpretation of complex guidelines as well as identifying key information required for data entry and a high level of attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team as well as autonomously under broad direction.Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and the flexibility to re-adjust workload priorities to meet competing deadlines.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement projects.Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office suite, the internet and information management systemsWell-developed skills in managing a secretariat; including the development of documents including Minutes, Agendas, Reports etc.Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office suite; internet, information management systems, and design suites. Experience in working with design tools including Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator or other similar databases is preferred.
