Job title: Oncology Franchise Manager – North Africa

Job description: Job DescriptionThis role can be based in either Algeria or Morocco.The Oncology Franchise Manager leads the oncology franchise cross-functional team and is accountable for the optimization of profitability, sales, market share and revenue growth of a portfolio of products in oncology. Responsible for leading a high performing Oncology Cross-Functional Team to drive strategy, execution and resource allocation.Reporting to the Business Unit Director for Oncology, the Oncology Franchise Manager works in close collaboration with the different functions, to ensure optimal alignment of the shared P&L model, smooth running of the business, and accurate forecasting and execution of the oncology business.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Achieve sales and market share targets
  • Track and analyze franchise sales performance
  • Monitor and manage oncology-related expenses within agreed budgets.
  • Monitor market developments, trends and competitor activities and integrate these into ongoing strategic directions and action plans.
  • Track and optimize product availability at both To-Market and In-Market level.
  • Develop plans and objectives, strategies and tactics based on deep understanding of market dynamics
  • Create mutually productive relationships and strong network with all relevant stakeholder groups, including key opinion leaders, key prescribers, medical groups and hospital executives.
  • Foster a culture in the oncology team which is efficient, customer–centric, service-oriented and focused on success.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain & Market Access colleagues to ensure that supply is accurately planned and maintained. Monitor inventory and provide accurate product forecast.
  • Ensure field visit targets are set at the optimal levels and consistently achieved.
  • Maintain close contact with sales representatives and district managers to identify and address challenges and opportunities in the market.
  • Regularly review field force configurations to continuously ensure high productivity and determine the best set-up that will optimize top- and bottom-line results.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards in the industry and abide by our company’s Code of Conduct and other integrity and compliance guidelines and policies.
  • Undertake all mandatory and corporate trainings, i.e. Compliance and Code of Conduct Training, Adverse Event Reporting, Travel and Expense Guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree
  • 5 years in pharmaceutical industry in marketing/sales Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and foster collaboration across internal and external boundaries
  • Understands and effectively communicates across challenging business environment
  • Willing to travel
  • Languages: English & French

VERY DESIRABLE:

  • Oncology experience
  • Experience and knowledge of Algeria & Morocco markets
  • Experience with distributor models
