Our leaders sit between development, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial global functions and markets, providing a unique view of our portfolio’s full industrialization and commercialization. Through leadership and partnerships, we develop and ensure the execution of Roche’s enterprise supply strategy, in addition to developing and managing a product portfolio and platform view in line with network principles.We are evolving as an organization in PT with a target to increase our business impact across the portfolio including increased speed to market, improved supply resilience, and maximizing value as products move through their lifecycle.Purpose of the RoleThe Product Strategy Regional Lead will lead a team of Product Strategy Leads in a designated region to develop and execute assigned product sourcing lifecycle strategies and ensure the successful launch and health of our product across its lifecycle. In addition, he/she will also be accountable for developing and executing product platform strategies for the commercialization of products. This role will report to the Head of Product Strategy.Primary duties & ResponsibilitiesLeading, coaching, and developing a team of Product Strategy Leads including:Ensuring that Product Strategies drive optimum supply chain resilience, efficiency, sustainability and lead time to patientsPartnering with GPS to develop robust demand scenarios and driving sourcing decisions based on network principles and inventory/capacity decisions using Integrated Capacity Planning (ICP) principlesEmbedding customer-centricity competencies and capabilities in the operations. This includes developing customer/patient-centric supply chain strategies (eg. Flexible Care & Devices) throughout the product lifecycle to address pain points, improve customer experience, and gain a competitive advantageEnsuring the successful launch and health of our product across its lifecycleEffectively managing focus and allocation of resources across the team including resources to support due diligenceBuilding the community and capability of product strategy leaders in their regionOwning the development of commercial product platform strategies ensuring a holistic approach across the portfolioDriving effectiveness of TPT team structuresFacilitating setting aspirational product lifecycle targets in partnership with commercial, manufacturing and supply chain teamsEnsuring the Network Strategy is effectively reflected across Product Strategy Teams and trade-offs are clear and accounted for in decision-makingSupporting the supply chain in due diligence for product acquisitions and divestments.Collaborating with the Business Operations Lead to:Systematically bringing external insights, trends, and benchmarks to stretch performance across the product strategy teams, enhancing the long-term performance of the businessStrategically managing portfolio-level end-to-end risk, ensuring the robustness, resiliency and sustainability of the supply chain in collaboration with PTDWho You AreYou are a leader who’s proficient in leading matrix and regional teams; with superb ability to listen, understand and connect products, platforms and functions; as well as translate different inputs into long-term visions. You seamlessly translate strategy into action, inspiring and leading others to communicate and act with a clear vision and purpose. Able to connect different perspectives; you drive co-creation and execution of strategies across PT and GPS. Moreover You bring/have:Operational expertise: Apply lean manufacturing concepts; able to coordinate and execute multiple, interdependent projectsStrategic insights: have and apply a broad understanding of the internal and external environment to strategy developmentCustomer / Patient Centricity: Approach problems and design solutions with a deep understanding of the customer and stakeholder needs and objectivesOperating with agile mechanics: Apply agile mechanics, tools, and principles; Promote risk-taking and rapid experimentation via iteration of less-than-complete productsQualifications & ExperienceYou have a BS Degree (scientific/technical disciplines preferred). Advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred10+ years of experience in the Bio-pharma industry; ideally in a diversity of roles, with a consistent track record of delivering challenging results at the network level, while working in a matrix environmentSuperb people management or matrix team leadershipDeep knowledge of Bio and Small Molecule production processes, global quality systems, supply chain management, strategic planning, financial analysis, international sales and marketing of bio-pharm products, technical development, commercialization of new products, line extensions and variations (control system enhancements and switches), product risk and inspection managementHighly developed, situationally appropriate written and oral communication skillsEffective advocate to senior management in a diverse set of governance bodiesStrong confirmed capability of strategy development and deployment, leading transformational change, and enabling organizational transitions to align with changing business contextsTravel Requirements:International travel is required for about 10%.Who we areAt Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
