Job description: Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for the initiation, planning and implementation of detailed program implementation plans, ensuring alignment with the organization’s objectives and strategic plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the program specialists, regional program managers, ensuring effective coordination and communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Contribute in strengthening organizational MEAL mechanism to monitor and evaluate the progress of programs, identifying potential challenges and developing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure successful delivery.
  • Contribute in the development of organizational funding strategies, donor mapping, new grants writing and submission with foundation development team.
  • Collaborate with the GM Programs & Projects and other relevant stakeholders to assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements or modifications as needed.
  • Responsible for Human Resource (Program Specialists and Regional Program Managers), technically steer, advice, manage, coordinate and lead them to achieve the program objectives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the HDF’s mission, values, and program objectives to ensure that all activities align with the organization’s overall vision.
  • Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including budgetary allocations, to ensure efficient and effective program implementation.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the program implementation team, promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including government agencies, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance program impact and sustainability.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, including comprehensive data analysis and recommendations, for presentation to the GM Programs & Projects and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the NGO sector, incorporating relevant knowledge into program implementation strategies and activities.

Qualifications and Special Knowledge:

  • Masters Degree in a relevant field such as Project Management, International Development, Public Administration, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum 15 years) in program management or implementation within the NGO sector, demonstrating a strong track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to identify and address challenges in program implementation.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements within the NGO sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve organizational goals.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization, with a passion for driving positive social change and community development.

Expected salary: 200000 per year
