Job description: As a Senior Strategy and Planning Associate in the EMEA Delivery Strategic Initiatives team at Uber, you will play a pivotal role in leading large-scale cross-functional programs, incubating innovative business ideas and solving complex, novel problems to drive long-term business success.Collaborating with local, regional, and global partners from all functions, you will help shape the future of the Uber Eats business, driving strategy, execution and data-driven decision-making. Partnering closely with the Eats leadership team, you will be accountable for end-to-end program ownership and for shaping and delivering high impact initiatives on our team roadmap.You will also have the opportunity to assist the business in navigating complex legal and regulatory challenges, safeguarding the business from regulatory threats and developing innovative solutions amidst a rapidly evolving landscape.What You Will Do
- Serve as strategic advisor to EMEA Delivery leadership team on top of mind central initiatives, taking ownership of end-to-end problem statements, influencing critical stakeholders, and driving decisions at the highest levels of the organization
- Apply structured problem solving approaches to tackle new and ambiguous problem statements with no playbook
- Collaborate with local, regional, and global teams, including Operations, Product, Legal, Policy, Finance, and Tax, to design, launch and run cross-functional programs to achieve critical business outcomes.
- Own and lead strategic programs & projects, driving home key tasks and initiatives with strong follow-ups throughout the entire lifecycle.
- Synthesize various inputs, such as quantitative analysis, policy proposals, legal analysis, and product briefs, to develop recommendations and drive alignment.
- Optimize performance through data-driven deep-dives, metrics, and dashboards.
- Coordinate and collaborate on initiatives, effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels, from junior team members to the highest-level executives.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in strategy, operations or consultancy
- A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and excels at tackling unprecedented challenges in a fast-paced environment with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise, and practical solutions.
- Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a compelling and engaging manner.
- High degree of business & financial acumen and comfort using analytics to solve problems
- Genuine interest and fascination with the online food delivery industry and desire to understand each aspect of the marketplace and Uber’s business strategy
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to project management, driving successful completion of complex programs.
- Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills, working effectively with diverse stakeholders, including cross-functional business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications * MBA or Advanced Degree in a relevant field
- Experience in the Food Delivery Industry or Q-Commerce
- Experience navigating public policy and regulatory challenges
- Passion for the Gig Economy issues concerning the Future of Work
- Experience with strategic people topics including organization design
- Strong data analytics skills with experience in SQL
